Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University came into being in the year 1972, by an act of State Legislature.
Rightly named after the ardent lover of Science and Technology, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, the University was established with the prime objectives of strengthening and improving the standards of Technological Education and making it relevant to the rural and industrial development of the country.
Besides offering Regular programs at district level Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Research the university started offering Distance Education programs in B.Tech in Civil, Electronics & Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics & Communication engineering in 1983. The University also offers Job Oriented courses in creative arts, architectural design and planning through College of Fine Arts and School of Architecture. The university receives maintenance grants from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
